My homemade fresh mint ice cream is so delicious and a genuine splendid dessert to indulge in.
This homemade ice cream is creamy and rich with that chilly effect of mint in ice. Every spoonful is a delight that melts in your mouth, leaving you wanting more.
This recipe calls for simple ingredients readily available in your kitchen. Plus, the fun part is, you do not require an ice cream machine.
For this recipe, I used: Condensed milk, fresh milk, and heavy cream as base ingredients, how convenient! Use green food colouring for that minty green colour that everyone loves so much, though it is not entirely necessary.
Homemade Mint Ice cream Ingredients.
- Heavy Cream. Heavy cream adds to the final texture and creaminess of the ice cream. Yogurt or coconut cream can be used instead.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk. Not only does condensed milk make the ice cream creamy it acts as a sweetener. Replace sweetened condensed milk with honey, sugar, Maple syrup, or date sugar, though the final taste of the ice cream might change. - Milk. The best kind of milk to use when making ice cream is fresh whole milk/full cream milk. This is because it has a high butterfat content which adds to the creaminess of the ice cream. Good alternatives for homemade ice cream are oat milk, goat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or soy milk.
- Chocolate Chips. I personally prefer chopping chocolate bars into small pieces instead of using chips because getting good quality chips can be a bit difficult.

Homemade Mint Chococlate Chip Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients.
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Sweetened Condensed Milk 1/2 cup
- Mint extract 1 teaspoon
- Heavy Cream 3/4 cup
- I cup finely chopped chocolate chips.
Procedure
- In a mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream, and using a stand mixer whip for a few minutes until slightly thick but not stiff.
- Pour in the sweetened condensed milk, Milk, and mint flavor and continue mixing until everything is incorporated.
- Afterward, fold in the chocolate chips until its evenly distributed into the ice cream.
- Transfer into a container and put in the freezer for at least 16hrs until solid.
- Serve when ready.
