The well-strategized candy advertisement gets me all the time as I guess it is the same for most people. With promising assortments, different flavours, styles, alluring packaging and strategic placements. It’s not easy to pass by a candy aisle without falling into the trap of grabbing one or maybe two. Almond joy or any chocolate candy gets me most of the time. You can literally hear them shouting but calling softly; ”come to me, Winnie!” And if you have kids with you, these isles can be a circus and money-draining machines. As I always say, indulging in sweets is okay but you also have to know your limits.
But what if you can easily make your own candy at home? Using ingredients you know and trust, while also twitching the flavours to what you like. Like this Almond Chocolate candy recipe, comprised of Caramelized white chocolate stuffed with toasted Almond.
Moulding chocolate is fun, especially with moulding equipment. All you have to do is melt chocolate and pour it into moulds then wait for them to cool, that’s it!
These Almond chocolate candies are a promise of different flavours melting in your mouth with a finishing toasted almond crunch. Facilitated with caramelized white chocolate, a toasted biscuit flavour, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Step two; Pour the chocolate into a silicon mould up to 3/4 full in every section.

Step four; When completely solid, unmould from the silicon and store in a tightly sealed container.
Chocolate Candy Recipe Tips
- Work fast. Since chocolate solidifies fast, quickly fill each hole with chocolate then immediately press in the almond before its starts to turn thick. Consequently, you can fill one hole at a time by pressing in the almonds immediately.
- Keep the chocolate bowl over a pan with hot water. This way it won’t solidify in the bowl before you’re done.
- To make a healthier version of this recipe, replace caramelized white chocolate with dark chocolate.
- You can use your favourite nut of choice; cashews or pistachios or a mix of both. Whatever tickles your taste buds.
